My Website looks great but I don’t seem to be getting many enquires or purchases.

Not to worry, we get this a lot and it’s not the end of the world! Sometimes the most simplest of solutions can drastically change this. Get active on social. Now you might be thinking… well I already post on social media but that’s not enough, you need to actively participate in the community too and this in turn can generate more traffic to your website which can lead to more enquires.

I’m a local business, I sell _______. When I type on Google “_______ for sale” I can’t see my webpage on the first page.

This is a common problem many businesses have when they don’t have an SEO strategy in place. To rank higher on Google for specific keywords is a long thought out process but there are things you can do to aid this process. A simple method is creating blog posts based around the specific Keyword you want to rank for e.g. if you want to rank for “Local Gym Equipment” you can write a post titled “The Top 10 Gym Equipment 2019”.

I don’t currently have any way of measuring my online success.

Looking at bottom-line results in areas such as spending, sales or profits doesn’t help you understand how or why you reached those results or how to improve your performance. Setting goals and measuring progress in areas that don’t necessarily show end-of-year results will help you incrementally improve your operations in many areas, leading to exponential growth in profits.

The last time I updated my website must have been over a few months ago.

It’s crucial to keep your website up to date with fresh content, not only for the benefit of your customers but it also helps with your SEO which helps you achieve higher ranks. One great way to achieve this is by having a blog on your website. I like to think of blogging as fishing. The more hooks you have in the water, the more likely you are to catch a fish. In the same way, as you add more content to your site, more pages from your domain become indexed in search engines. This improves organic search visibility and increases website traffic.
